BIOGRAPHY:
I grew up in New York City, and graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart. I studied art and art history at Mount Holyoke College and Pratt Institute. Ive had a lifelong interest in architecture and home design -- I was the only 16 year old I knew who could recognize a Mies chair and would stop to look at the Seagrams building. Fortunately, I married a furniture designer and got to spend even more time looking at interiors. I assisted my husband on several major projects, but always found myself drawn to the kitchen. I love to cook, I felt I really understood how kitchens need to be laid out, what it means to need workspace or a real cleanup area. Ive now designed -- and produced -- a number of excellent, carefully crafted kitchens in this area. Before going on my own, I worked in high-end showrooms in Connecticut and Westchester. I live now in New Canaan with my husband and daughter.
